Your Special Day!

When planning a wedding, finding a photographer can be very stressful. When I get the privilege of photographing a wedding, the very first thing that I require is a consultation with my clients, to get to know one another, hear ideas, and answer any questions.

One of the things I go over at the consultation is the way I break down the day into 5 sections ~ 1. Getting ready before the ceremony 2. Ceremony 3. Portraits 4. Reception (includes cake cutting, speeches, dances, garter/bouquet toss, any memorable candids) 5. Details (close ups of flowers, decorations etc.)

Having these categories allows most any part of the day to be captured and organized. Here are a few examples from each category.

1. Getting Ready Before the Ceremony ~ these photos capture the excitement and anticipation of walking down the aisle!

2. Ceremony ~ whether its indoor or outdoor I'm there ready to capture away! I'm also paying close attention for when certain things are going to happen (sand pouring, exchange of rings, THE KISS! etc)

3. Portraits ~ Family, bridal party, the newlyweds, just the bride, just the groom etc.

4. Reception

5. Details ~ these are specific things you picked out for your special day and need to be captured as well!
