Waiting Game

I haven't been feeling like myself, BASICALLY this whole pregnancy, but especially the last few months which is why I haven't been doing very many personal creative shoots, or fun DIY stuff like I'd planned. My life has basically been put on hold, (by my choice) and I have to apologize. I know there are so many pregnant ladies out there that kick butt when it comes to life while pregnant.. but I just haven't been trying that hard I guess. I really do have an extreme weakness of not being able to really produce something when something in my life is off... This is going to be my new years resolution though, (finding ways to stay inspired and block out the negative things that I would typically let get in my way)

I am now currently OVERDUE, 41 weeks pregnant, really getting impatient but knowing that one way or another she will be here soon. I'm trying to stay positive and just live happily in the moment.

I PROMISE that soon I will have something to share with anyone who is interested in my work. I will also be taking clients gradually again as soon as I feel up to it depending on how delivery/recovery goes.

Here's to the bounce back! COMING SOON!

DIY! Make your own throw pillows

I love the big statement such a small thing like a throw pillow can make, and I love personalized décor. With only a few simple steps you can create your own pillows in whatever size, shape, color, pattern, etc. that you like!

Step 1: Fold fabric in half, cut out the shape of your choice.

Step 2: Pin the pieces together so they stay in place while you sew.

Step 3: Sew the pieces of fabric together.

TIP: when you come to a corner, lift the foot of your sewing machine while the needle is coming down into the fabric, and turn it to the new direction you need to sew.

Step 4: Leave an opening on the bottom of the pillow close the center.

Step 5: Flip what you've sewn inside out.

Step 6: Fill your empty pillow with stuffing.

When you've filled the pillow to your satisfaction, hand stitch the hole on the bottom.

AND YOU'RE DONE!
